The $25,000 Dream Honda 450 Build
Some bikes are built to sit pretty. This one was built to be ridden hard. And we're giving it away... Check it out here: sotafuel.com
We wanted to build the Dream Honda 450, a full-send CRF450R build that ended up at $25,000 all in. Every part chosen with purpose. Nothing on here just for looks.
The Engine
The foundation of any serious build starts with what you can't see. And the 2025 Honda is a beast from the factory. The first mod we decided on was a Pro Circuit T6 exhaust, one of the most proven systems in the sport which opens up the CRF's powerband and gives it that unmistakable crack coming out of corners. Paired with a Hinson clutch and billet cover, the drivetrain is dialled. Hinson is the gold standard for clutch feel and longevity under hard use, and the cover alone turns heads in the pits. Rounding out the engine bay, a GET ignition system gives full control over mapping, the kind of refinement that separates a good bike from one that feels purpose-built, just like the HRC Honda racing team.
The Chassis
FCP race cups and engine mounts are the kind of upgrade that is hard to capture in images but transforms how the bike handles under load. Combined with Luxon triple clamps which shift the geometry and improve front-end feel considerably, this chassis has been properly sorted. It turns sharper, tracks straighter, and gives you more feedback in the rough.
The Controls
This is where the build gets personal. G2 Ergonomics throttle tube, Renthal grips, Turner levers, Turner titanium footpegs, Turner rear brake and shifter. Every contact point has been upgraded. The result is a cockpit that feels like it was set up for someone who actually rides, responsive, consistent, and dialled to the fingertips.
The Wheels
Red Dubya hubs laced to D.I.D gold rims, wrapped in Dunlop MX34s, with Renthal chain and sprockets, and Works Connection axle blocks to finish it off. The wheel package on this build is serious, lightweight, strong, and set up for the kind of riding that puts stock components under pressure.
The Finish
P3 carbon parts throughout, a Guts Racing seat cover for grip and comfort in the long motos, and a full Rival Ink graphics kit that ties the whole build together visually. This thing looks the part as much as it rides it.
Jase put it through its paces before it leaves the garage. His verdict: it was a pleasure to ride, and it'll be missed.
